We believe in the infallible word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and that both the Old and New Testament are inerrant in the original writing and the Bible is the supreme and final authority for life and faith.
We believe that all scripture is “God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” II Timothy 3:16.
We believe in one true God, the Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and Ruler of all. He is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable. Moreover, he exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, who have the exact attributes, nature and perfections.
We believe in the deity, incarnation and virgin birth of Jesus Christ. We believe in His death on the cross as the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, His literal, bodily resurrection and His ascension into heaven.
We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin, regenerates, baptizes, indwells, seals and sets apart believers into holy, concentrated life and bestows spiritual gifts upon them, and controls those yielding to Him. Daily, he keeps and empowers believers; He is the Teacher of the Word of God and the Guide for our daily lives.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but when Adam fell through the sin of disobedience, all man became corrupt body, soul and spirit, and all men need redemption.
We believe that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” and can fully redeem and powerfully use even those who consider they have been the “worst” of sinners ( I Timothy 1:15).
We believe that anyone can have a personal relationship with God through salvation. We believe that salvation is a gift of God plus nothing and minus nothing. Salvation involves repentance, a turning from one’s way to God’s way. All who receive Christ are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become the children of God, and a changed life will manifest true salvation.
We believe in water baptism, as taught and demonstrated by Jesus, as the way for believers to identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. We believe we have been “baptized by one body” I Cor 6:19 and we recognize the value and equality of all members of the body of Christ. We are all “one in Christ Jesus” Gal 3: 39. We actively support the unity of all believers.
We believe in the personal, visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to the earth, the bodily resurrection of the believers to heaven, and the eternal abode in the glory of God’s presence. Until then, we believe we are to “live holy and Godly lives as we look forward to the day of God” (II Peter 3:11-12).
