Stephanie is a well-known Bible teacher, writer, and speaker from Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is a fisherman's daughter from a tiny village called Port Bickerton. Steph often jokes that she has salty sea air within her very bloodstream! She is, first and foremost, Mom to two adult children--Lauren and Will. She is also the founder and Managing Director of LeadHer Ministries, a ministry committed to challenging and equipping women to embrace, emerge and excel in their gift and calling to lead and serve others, impacting their world for God’s Kingdom.
Previously, Steph birthed and led a weekly non-denominational women's ministry for ten years called Living Free. Living Free grew to 200 women meeting monthly from all across Halifax. Steph also birthed and led a popular teen girl conference for six years called Dare2B. In addition, Steph has sat on several non-profit boards and has served on several local church Leadership Teams.
Steph has an MDIV specializing in leadership development and spiritual formation from Acadia Divinity College.
She is an avid blogger and has written for RSVP Ministries, Real Women Ministries, and articles published in HomeLife Magazine and Real Women Ministries Prayer Guide.
Steph's happy place is biking, hiking with friends, hanging out with her adult kids, walking beside the ocean, connecting over coffee with a friend, and curling up with a good book.
Steph never delivers the same message twice! With the initial contact by phone or email, Steph will discuss what the event organizers envision for their event, what topics they have in mind and their desired goal. Steph will prayerfully take those to God, seeking His unique message for their group, and if she is called to speak at your event. Once Steph accepts the speaking invitation, she will work closely with the organizers and seek their ongoing prayer support up to the event.
