Steph grew up in rural Nova Scotia.

Stephanie is a well-known Bible teacher, writer, and speaker from Halifax, Nova Scotia, dedicated to Christian empowerment. She is a fisherman's daughter from a tiny village called Port Bickerton, often joking that she has salty sea air within her very bloodstream! First and foremost, she is Mom to two adult children—Lauren and Will. As the founder and Managing Director of LeadHer Ministries, she is committed to challenging and equipping women to embrace their roles in women's leadership, emerge in their gifts, and excel in serving others to impact their world for God’s Kingdom.

Previously, Steph birthed and led a weekly non-denominational women's ministry called Living Free for ten years. This ministry grew to 200 women meeting monthly from all across Halifax, focusing on spiritual growth. Additionally, Steph initiated a popular teen girl conference for six years called Dare2B. She has also served on several non-profit boards and has contributed to various local church Leadership Teams.

Steph holds an MDIV specializing in leadership development and spiritual formation from Acadia Divinity College. As an avid blogger, she has written for RSVP Ministries and Real Women Ministries, along with articles published in HomeLife Magazine and the Real Women Ministries Prayer Guide.

Her happy place includes biking, hiking with friends, spending time with her adult kids, walking beside the ocean, connecting over coffee with a friend, and curling up with a good book.
